Alex founded the company in 1995 and has been ever present providing a highly personalised support to both customers and suppliers. Alex understands the importance of creating symbiotic business relationships. He loves helping to developing system which support customers to minimise time and risk that can be applied over a wide range of industries. In his spare time you can see him in lycra challenging himself through the hills of the West country on his mountain bike.
Forrest heads up both the Shanghai and Seattle Offices. He has been assisting companies from Europe and North America with outsourcing production to China since 1998. His aim is to provide a long term solution for the customers by providing bespoke solutions to provide the true benefits of international business. Thanks to his passion for Chinese cuisine, he delights in taking our customers to the best restaurants.
Kelly is a passionate team leader focused on developing, engaging and empowering our Shanghai teams to deliver intuitive customer service at every level. She combines deep customer empathy with hard negotiation on our clients behalf to create a culture of efficiency and strong lasting relationships. She loves French food, and admits that her to Shanghai Expo have been driven by the gourmet experience.
Spencer heads the technical side of operations in China, frequently travelling to and liaising with factories to check customer parts. Never without a smile on his face, Spencer is always cheerful, even when having tough supplier conversations.
Grace is our holder of the purse strings, who controls all financial transactions and ensures the right people get paid. At the end of the working day, she loves to dance the night away!
Jane has the challenging role of managing all of the customer shipments that we send out, and manages close relationships with factories and freight forwarders. She loves reading, and relaxing in the cafes of Shanghai.
Allison has been our Client Manager for over four years, and she will always know where your products are. Allison is sport mad and if not watching it she can be seen leaping around badminton courts in Bath
Phoebe manages all of our day-to-day communication with factories and suppliers. She’s a fantastically efficient communicator, managing to complete most tasks before we have thought of them. Another 1.2 fan of food, Phoebe loves baking.
Alisa helps to check all the numbers add up correctly, to keep the local authorities happy. Away from the office she loves her music, spending hours plugged into her phone!
Becky joined our team in 2017 and works closely with Phoebe to keep customers fully updated on hundreds of different products. A glass of fine wine and a book provide her ideal way to relax.
Tony is a great developer of supplier relationships, ensuring everyone is happy. If you don’t yet know the true meaning of ‘guanxi’, Tony is your man. Something of a TV celebrity in China, he recently came second in a popular investment programme.
Super friendly Mike provides our customers with technical support. He works closely with our Shanghai office as well as direct with factories, to develop products as quickly as possible.
Kate is responsible for leading brand and marketing for 1.2 in the UK & China.
From the infamous MTR in Hong Kong, creating transport branding for the underground to Cadbury’s Milk Tray she has helped build brands and marketing campaigns all over the world.
