Chinese New Year 2026 Approaches…

Whilst we are all focused on maintaining our new year resolutions, another one looms on the horizon.

Chinese Spring Festival falls on 17th February 2026, and ushers in the Year of the Horse, the Fire Horse, and a well earned rest and celebrations for our dedicated suppliers. The time of the associated shut down varies, with smaller factories generally offering longer holiday than the larger ones, but the effective closures are for most of February with travel starting to become difficult from early February.

If you were born in the (Chinese Zodiac) years of 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002 then you are a Horse and this is your lucky…or unlucky year. If you are a Horse, this year could be dramatic expect your year to be fast, loud and dramatic,  there is no handbrake this year for you. Your lucky numbers are 7, 8, 3, avoid 4 (as is well known), calla lily and jasmine are your lucky flowers, bold and bright like the sign. Looking for love; go for Tigers, Dogs and Sheep.

We would like to wish all those in our extended supply chain a very Happy New Year, and thank you for all your dedication over the last 12 months – Gong Xi Fa Cai.
